As present and persistent as grief

Counseling, support groups, education, pastoral care, and community programs are essential. Yet a deeply personal memorial keepsake is not broadly accessible in the same way. Cost, production, logistics, and specialized skill can place it beyond reach.

Hold My Heart exists to bridge that gap.

A letter from the founder

I began making memorial glass after loss entered my life. I made very little progress in my own healing before I began using my keepsake. The experience changed my understanding of what an object can carry.

What started quietly, first for myself, then for people I knew, and later for clients, revealed a consistent truth: a tangible keepsake made with something personally meaningful can bring comfort when words are not enough.

Over time, I also saw the gap. Counseling, support groups, school counselors, faith communities, and many extraordinary organizations were already doing difficult and necessary work. Professionals said the same thing over and over: we need this for the people we are caring for.

Hold My Heart was created to bridge that gap without duplicating what others already do well. We do only one thing. We provide memorial keepsakes. We help build community by doing what we do well in the background while our partners do all the things they do well in the foreground.

By working together and playing to our strengths, our efforts will be multiplied. I am excited to see what we can build together.

We add to the care that already exists.

  1. An organization makes the introduction

    A partner organization identifies or introduces a bereaved individual who may benefit from a memorial keepsake.

  2. The recipient chooses

    The recipient receives the program information, selects one available keepsake, and chooses one sentimental material to include.

  3. Materials travel safely

    The sentimental material is returned through the established process. De-identified ordering is available when privacy requires it.

  4. An artisan makes the piece

    A skilled artisan handcrafts the keepsake. The standard timeline is approximately four weeks from studio receipt to shipment.

  5. It comes back through someone they trust

    The completed keepsake is returned through the partner organization, which continues the supportive relationship it already holds with the recipient.

Recipients never pay, and they work with the people they already know and trust.

Hold My Heart is designed to do more than deliver an object. The model connects bereaved individuals, trusted organizations, donors, skilled artisans, and local communities.

    A handcrafted memorial keepsake can preserve remembrance, continuing connection and meaning in a form a person can hold.

    A practical program adds tangible support without requiring the organization to create its own studio, production process, or fulfillment system.

  • For artisans

    Skilled makers receive fair-market, trade-commensurate compensation for work with real human meaning, ideally using tools and production capacity they own.

  • For communities

    Local production and local spending allow more of the value created by the program to remain close to the communities where grief is being carried.

We will help grieving people feel that they are not alone: that their loss matters, their connection endures, and their hearts are being held.

Do recipients pay?

No. People receiving keepsakes through Hold My Heart never pay.

Is this therapy?

No. Hold My Heart does not provide therapy. Memorial keepsakes can serve as meaningful healing tools within a broader network of grief support.

What can be included in a keepsake?

Depending on the keepsake and established handling requirements, sentimental materials may include cremation ashes, hair or fur, dried flowers, sand, soil, handwritten paper, or other approved materials with personal meaning.

How long does it take?

The standard timeline is approximately four weeks from the time materials reach the studio to shipment of the completed keepsake.

What if my organization does not offer Hold My Heart?

You can share Hold My Heart with the organization and encourage them to contact us. You may also send us an access inquiry so we can understand the situation and consider possible connections.

Can an order be de-identified?

Yes. De-identified ordering is available when privacy or organizational requirements call for it.

Hold My Heart does not provide crisis care, counseling, or medical services. If you need immediate help or clinical support, contact an appropriate local provider or emergency resource.
